I wanted to know that if my wife's mother can gift a flat to her by way of a gift deed & whether an NOC is required by the Society from her other brothers / sisters. My mother in law is alive & on the gift deed she has already repaid the stamp duty on her daughter's name again, now the society is asking us for an NOC from all next of kin concerned & is paying difficult. I also wanted to know if the Society Transfer Charges are applicable in such cases as this is an internal mother to daughter family transfer. The Gift Deed was prepared by my mother in law after our marriage to her daughter & since the amnesty scheme is on right now I would like to take advantage of this scheme & close this issue once & for all & the society members do not understand / knowthe law & are playing difficult,
