Thank You once again Shivani Bajaj for your kind information.
I am sure now I can fix the responsibility to the agent of your company who called me up and made my form filled up. Would you kindly do an investigation about how that executive (agent) got the information of my card from ICICI bank, as you have categorically told that your bank (Meaning your bank and Banking employees, or agents, correct me if I am wrong) indulge into spamming and farming of card details.

Would you kindly let me know the agents name and address who has booked the form for credit card at your company?

Also, kindly process the commitment you have made in earlier email " We request you to provide us with your date of birth to investigate your query with regard to sourcing of the card application. "

Thank You
Regards,
Kushal Pathak

ABN AMRO committed to me following:
  • Return of the Forms I submitted
  • Investigate the matter about who was the source of my application
  • Protect my privacy that no further calls will be made
In all I got the reply that they cannot do anything now for me and I should better contact ICICI bank for the matter purely concerned with ABN AMRO Credit card.

I think it was not just the end they thought, on 22nd of April 2008, I got a call during my meeting from an agent that he is from ABN AMRO Bank and that I was using ICICI Gold Credit card and that his back would give me ABN AMRO Platinum Credit card.

I had informed ABN AMRO Credit card, and now for sure I am not going to rest.. here is the content of the email:

Quote:
Hello Shivani Bajaj,
Thank You again for the information. I understand why you cannot make things transparent at your end. However, one of your outsourced agency 'KINGS SOLUTIONS', kirti Nagar agent again called me yesterday to offer me ABN AMRO Credit card because I am having ICICI Credit card. When I asked him how did he get my mobile number and that he knows about my holding of ICICI credit card, he told that the ABN AMRO Bank Senior Officials send them via 'net' to them.

I failed to understand why your bank allows such blatant disregard to citizen privacy, more so when you had promised that no calls would be received further regarding credit card. Also I fail to understand why your repeated statements of customer's privacy is not followed in spirits.

The details of the call made to me during my meeting hours were:

Name of Agent: Shri. Rahul Sharma
Mobile Number: 9971693082
Agency Name: Kings Solutions, Kirti Nagar
Time and date of Call: 4.32 PM, 22/04/2008

May I insist upon your clarification.
Thank You
Regards,
Kushal Pathak

This is a balant misuse of personal information provided to the private banks & mobile operators. In order to acieve their targets, they can go to any networking extent to provide a tailor-made problem. High time Dr. Pathak, they pay up for their deeds.
    Donot let them off lightly.

Very good perseverance Mr. Pathak. Did you contact ICICI ?
Did you even talk to any legal folks ? .. You basically nailed them and they had no answer to your questions....
