Reliance Broadnet: the money fleecing Services
Posted 08-16-2008 at 08:13 PM by kushal
I highly recommend every new user of broadband to desist from using reliance broadnet services.
I took the reliance broadnet connection which was started on 19th July 2008 with 1499/- broardband plan which included 7.5 GB of Data transfer per month.
The 1st bill got generated on 23rd July on pro-rata basis and with a usage of 5 days I got a heft bill of 1878/-. Nobody to blame except me for not understanding the pro-rata basis...I used only 2.5 GB but that exceeded the pro-rata amount.
Within 2 days my phone was disconnected because of high usage and exceeding the credit limit.
I tired all efforts to register online but everytime it would return a pop-up error as "my Subscriber ID is not available"
I lodged complaint over phone :
73243067
It was promised that within 12 hours the issue would be resolved. Failing which I kept on calling them, who apolozised but never resolved.
So finally I wrote email:
The reply was as if I am a fool:
Stating that I my request has been registered under 73243067 ad that I should access the official website and enter the details.
On this reply I worte back:
I also replied this on 4th August:
To which I got this reply on 5th August:
I did not hear from the reliance upto 10th August so I wrote back:
On 10th August I got this reply:
Not hearing from reliance, I wrote to them on 13th August:
I heard immediately on 13th August 2008:
On this repeated wrong reply I wrote back on 14th August:
To which I got this reply on 15th August 2008:
My mail regarding Online bill registration issue, has already been registered under Service Request ID 73942746, which is in process and the same would be resolved at the earliest.
I think many more blogs need to be covered before the matter ends....or it would never?

Hello,
I had taken the reliance broadband connection on 19th July 2008, and today on 3rd August 2008 my connection has been disconnected in pretext of over usage.
I had been trying to register to Online bill payment utility but could not get resolution even with many assurances from customer case. One of my complaint ID is:
73243067
Without the resolution, I am not able to pay for the amount, and without intimation my telephone has been connected.
Would you kindly resolve my matter, if that is not responded today, kindly consider my request for disconnection from today onwards. I am ready to pay for the balance amount, if your customer support takes up the matter immediately,
Regards,
PN: This is also an information that I would be using this as a public document for publishing at appropriate places.

Hello,
It is past 6 days I have not got any reply to this ticket. Further because of non-resolution of this issue, I am not able to pay my bill and therefore your company had disconnected my telephone from past 10 days. It is causing harsh inconvenience to me and putting me at disadvantage by un-necessary harrasement.
May I request you to assist me

Hello,
Thank you for the support.
Its past 10 days and I had not heard from your regarding this issue. As I am not able to pay my dues online, your company had disconnected my phone:
1. Would I be charged rental and other charges whatsoever during this period of disconnection?
2. As you had accepted that it is your technical fault, therefore I am not able to pay my bills, and because of that my services have been disconnected by your company. Why don't you restore my connection on this reason.
Kindly reply to me on these two para meanwhile I wait for the technical resolution.

Unfortunately the problem is not resolved but compounded.
1. Once I try to register now, it returns a pop-up that your account is already registered for online bill payment, and password has been sent at my email kushal@officers.in (See the attached screenshot)
2. I had not received any password email from your company
3. If I try to go to forgot password, it again returns the pop-up message as 'Your subscriber ID is not available with us' (See the screenshot)
I have called your customer helpdesk who again gave me a service request ID as 73942746 attended by Shri.Rahul.
4. Regarding restarting of service, I had requested you to consider your technical inability of not resolving my online payment problem to be waived off so that I continue using my services. If I am not able to pay the balance of Rs. 1877.20 through online payment, how can again you ask me to pay Rs. 1877.20 for restoration. You have put me on disadvantage and put me out of internet services which is affecting my business. KINDLY TAKE A NOTE OF THIS! I again request you to restore my services pending your resolution of reliance technical incompetence to resolve my problem from past 10 days and more.
5. "Further with your mail regarding waiver for down time, we would like to inform you that please revert us back once you will receive your next bill." Does it mean that I would be billed the full rental even though my services are disconnected because of your technical non-resolution? And that I would again need to contact for waiver of my undue bill?

Continuing this rage, I got this reply on 17th August 2008 1.00 AM that I should pay the remaining balance of Rs. 731.04 and please note that until and unless the same payment is not done the connection can not be restored.
I do not understand what this another 731.04 has come from...
I had written again :
Quote:I failed to understand what is this balance amount?
1. I had paid Rs. 1878/- through a cheque of ICICI dated 13th August 2008, which has been acknowledged by you on 14th August 2008
2. I had paid Rs. 1310/- which was asked to me by your company help desk, which I paid online.
What is this further amount of Rs.731.04/-?Posted 08-17-2008 at 09:37 AM by kushal
