Approach the distributor catering to your area of residence and register your name in the waiting list available there. Please carry with you a proof of your residence. This procedure is identical for both existing (old) distributors as well as for new distributors

Don’t Pay any money at the time of booking. New connection bookings are free of charge[In case booking is refused
Please contact the Customer Service Cell operated by the Oil Company (Indane- Indian Oil, HP, Bharath Gas ) concerned. The address is displayed at all distributors' showrooms; these sire also advertised in the Press by the Oil Companies.

If you are transferred out,of the jurisdiction of the distributor with whom you booked, even before your connection has matured, you can easily have your waiting serial transferred to your new area of residence, anywhere in India, if LPG is marketed at the new location. Also, the seniority of the date of your original registration will be maintained at the new location.[/font]

[top]Death of an applicant


In case of the unfortunate demise of a wait-listed applicant, the waiting number can be transferred to the next of kin on submission of an affidavit in standard format and a `No Objection' Certificate from other family members

[top]The Tatkal scheme



The Tatkal scheme has been introduced to eliminate the waiting period. You will be required to pay a one-time, non-refundable Rs. 4000/ (in addition to the normal deposits payable at the time of release of a new connection) and get your connection immediately

[top]Release of a new connection



Your new connection is released based on an allocation received from the Oil Company, and on the order of your booking with the distributor. The allocation is finalised on the basis of policy guidelines from MOP & NG
You will Receive a standard 'intimation letter' from the distributor when your booking matures. This letter is specially designed by the Oil industry for your convenience, and consists of a tear-off slip, which you are required to return to the Oil Company.

The distributor issues a booklet called the Domestic Consumer Gas Card, popularly known as the Blue Book or the Pass book, where particulars of LPG history of the consumers, the details of supply and other services are entered by the distributor's staff
Distributors stock only ISI certified hotplates, as ensured by the Oil Companies. However, it is not mandatory for you to buy your hot-plate from the distributor. Any make of your choice and from the source of your choice will suffice as long as it bears the ISI mark. You will find the MRTP notification displayed at your distributor's showroom, which confirms your freedom of choice
You can transfer your connection to any location, even with the other Oil Company. You will be entitled to distributor belongs to any the refund of the deposit amount mentioned on the At the time of re-enrolment, you will be required to pay the same amount, irrespective of the prevailing market rate.
