Urgent help required on a false dowry case

Hi All,
I need your advice on a dowry case filed against one of my close friend.My friend is married for last 9 years but for last 6 months,his wife is staying with her parents.My friend's in laws have filed dowry case against him and his parents.My friend is ready to give away all the house hold items that his in laws provided to them in marriage.But due to influence of his wealthy in laws,police is not accepting those goods.On the Top of that they are demanding for huge amount of gold which is way beyoud the capacity of my friend.The case in high court and Judge in temporary bail has told my friend to surrender that gold which has never given to my friend or his family.
Can anyone of you can suggest some help or how we should proceed in this so that my friend can't be jailed becuase he is innocent and someone is using law and money to harass someone innocent.

1. Ask him to file counter case, if taking dowry is wrong then giving dowry is also wrong. ifthe police doesnt accept the complaint then ask his lawer to file the case in the court.

2. if it is more than 10 lakhs of gold, file Tax Evasion Petion(TEP) with Incom Tax department then IT will give hard time for them if they have not disclosed this to IT.

3. Ask his lawer to cross examin her
a. receipt of the Golds
b. To whom she has given the gold
c.wether the gold has been declared to IT dept
