Transfer of a trust to another district

A charitable trust/ society has its head office at Nanded, Maharashtra. However, now most of its members are from Thane. Therefore we want to shift the head office from Nanded to Thane.

Is it possible? What is the procedure? Will it take too long time? Please help!

You can contact the Registrar of Societies, Nanded regarding change of Head of Office. Since it is a charitable trust, you have to get clearance on yearly auditing. Whether you made any provision/amendment in the bye-law of trust in connection with change of address/head of office? However, either profitable or non-profitable trust, the trust has to submit their formal returns through approved audit personnel for every year.
