Query On spouse name in Indian passport

Sir/Madam,
I'm married and stay in India and do not hold a passport.My husband's passport carries a spouse name other than mine.The passport in mention carried the name before his marriage with me and has also been renewed by the Kingdom of Bahrain with the same name in my ignorance.Is it possible that the officials could've made an entry error,or should i suspect foul play?Please do enlighten me..Thank you

Hello !
The problem as you have mentioned in your blog is not serious. After your marriage, your husband had has to inform the passport authority praying for necessary correction and entry of youor name. According Hindu Marriage Civil Code, wife is the next inheritor in all aspect.But the same differs in Mahammadan Lwa. So,there is plenty of scope to make arrangement for your entry into your husband's passport. Simply, intimate the same wattaching legal document to the passport issuing authority.
